The adventure begins with Bomberman, after an unseen, successful monster capturing, is returning home to send them to prison on Planet Bomber. He doesn't get far before the shuttle is attacked by "four mysterious lights", which steal the four engines, and release the monsters! The shuttle crash-lands on an unknown planet, and leaves Bomberman unconscious while the monsters go on a rampage.

Bomberman must recapture the monsters, and regain his engines before he can return home!
