Darkest Before the Dawn

Demitri has gone to give Uncle Dracula a visit. Dracula complains that he has gotten to old and is worn out from constantly battling Van Helsing, and that his time as the head vampire is over and that he will pass on his legacy to Demitri. He tells Demitri of something called a "skull of souls" which will make the bearer of it invincible and it is located in the central swamps of America, so Demitri goes to find it.
 

Demitri travels to the swamp and manages to track down the object that Dracula was talking about, and picks it up. He states how he will now be all powerful, completely unaware that he is being watched by Bishamon who goes off to tell the others.
 

Later on Harry and Felicia are in Mexico using one of Lex's cars due to Harry sensing that something is going to happen there. They meet up with Bishamon who informs them of how powerful Demitri has now become thanks to him finding the skull of souls. Harry gives Bishamon his great great Grandfather's sword to replace Bishamon's old evil one (see "Samurai's Honor") which Bishamon thanks Harry. Bishamon tells Harry and Felicia to warn the others as he goes off to face Demitri.
 

Meanwhile Hsien Ko is tracking down Demitri and passes by the swamp where he got the skull of souls. She then tracks him to some mountains but he is no longer there, and then Bishamon shows up and says that Demitri is close by but she must not fight him as it is his destiny to fight Demitri, and then he tells her about how Demitri is all powerful. However Hsien Ko says that she wants to destroy Demitri and flies away leaving Bishamon behind.
 

Later on Felicia and Harry are driving away from the mountains but Demitri spots them and sends the skull of souls out. Felicia tries to avoid it and swerves the car off the road and towards a cliff. The skull of souls then fires an energy blast at the car which ignites it and sends it off the cliff. Demitri watches from afar but says that it was too easy.
 

Bishamon is watching this and believes that Harry and Felicia died in the crash and goes off to avenge them. He finds and challenges Demitri, and the two engage in a battle but Demitri uses the skull of souls to block Bishamon's attacks and then manages to kick Bishamon's sword out of his hands.
 

Demitri then blasts Bishamon and transfers him into the skull itself. Demitri then laughs, knowing that no-one can stop him.
 

The next morning Donovan arrives on the scene wearing a badass hat and of course Amanda is also with him. They find the car wreck and find that Harry and Felicia are still alive thanks to Harry managing to encase himself and Felicia inside a force field. Donovan wakes Harry first and tells him that he has grown more powerful and that to learn to control his power he has to co-exist with it and accept the call of his ancestors willingly.
 

Felicia then wakes up and Donovan says here is here because this is where he has tracked Demitri down to. He then leaves Amanda in Felicia and Harry's care and walks off to find Demitri. Hours later he comes across Demitri's coffin which Hsien Ko has also found, but it is empty. The two argue over who's right it is to destroy Demitri and Hsien Ko flies off. Donovan then finds Felicia and Harry again, who have found Bishamon's sword and believe that Bishamon himself has been killed by Demitri. Amanda then alerts them all to a battle happening some distance away.
 

Hsien Ko has finally found Demitri and is fighting him. She manages to avoid or deflect all of his projectile attacks and then uses her Henkyouki move to knock Demitri down. Believing that he is defeated she goes in for a closer look...
 

...only for Demitri to roll over and throw the skull of souls at her, which absorbs her instantly. Demitri takes the skull back only to find that Donovan, Felicia, Harry and Amanda are all waiting for him.

Donovan starts to fight Demitri and after a brief projectile fight Demitri throws the skull of souls at Donovan. Donovan tells Harry to "accept it willingly with all your heart.... or it means nothing" and then he hits the skull with his sword, and he vanishes just as Bishamon and Hsien Ko did.

Felicia then tries to battle Demitri but she is quickly defeated. Demitri then turns his attention to Harry and is about to kill him when Harry suddenly says "I'm ready!" and FUCKIN' MERLIN and Elijah both show up in spirit form, and both of them zap Harry...

...who grows a bit bigger, Altered Beast style, and has a deeper voice. Super Harry then blasts Demitri and ends up hitting the skull of souls, which turns around and makes Demitri vanish before it falls to the ground.

Having gotten rid of Demitri Harry shrinks back down to his normal size and makes sure Felicia is OK before picking up Bishamon's sword and using it to destroy the skull of souls entirely. By doing this, all of the souls it contained are released meaning that Donovan, Hsien Ko and Bishamon are all OK again.

Harry gives Bishamon back his sword, and Bishamon says that although the war is not over, this battle is. Demitri's soul meanwhile is transported back by Ship and Demitri arrives on the bridge of Pyron's spaceship. Pyron asks what happened whilst Morrigan explains that the balance of power has changed and now things are going to be far more interesting. Back on Earth Hsien Ko waves goodbye to Harry and Felicia and then teleports away.

Donovan then says that Harry has taken his first steps with his new found power and then says then he and Felicia will meet again (presumably as enemies next time given how Donovan wants to destroy all Darkstalkers) and then he and Amanda leave. Harry then uses his power to move and completely repair Lex's car so it's a happy ending for everyone.

For some reason when Donovan fights Demitri, the vampire's face becomes more hideous, but goes back to normal afterwards.
