Versions

There are a few versions of the anime out there that I felt that needed bringing up due to the stuff they do or do not contain. As far as I know, none of the Fatal Fury animes have ever been released in the UK. I also have this really weird version that has the first and second anime on a disc, but the sleeve is for the third one. Yup.


JAPANESE LASERDISC

This version contains both the first and second animes, it's main thing being that this version has the Joe Vs. Big Bear scene restored into it as standard - it's missing from every other version or hidden away as an Easter Egg somewhere.


VIZ U.S. DVD

Viz's DVD has both the first and second animes on it and the scene missing from the VHS release has been restored (see below). It's also got an Easter Egg which lets you view the Joe Vs. Big Bear deleted scene, although it's only in Japanese and wasn't dubbed into English, but it is the easiest way to see this scene.


VIZ U.S. VHS

Called "Fatal Fury: One-two punch", this video again contains both the first and the second animes, the reason I need to bring it up is because, allegedly, there is a scene removed from the second anime because Viz found it to be too violent. I've got no idea if this is true or not because I don't have this and most likely never will, and I can't imagine what scene they found so horrifying in the first place.
