G.I. Joe: The Movie

Duke assigns Falcon to guard duty until further notice, but he even gets out of that one and instead slinks off to try and make out with Jinx, but fails miserably. She tells him to go back to watching out for intruders but he says there's no way anyone can get in, but at that moment Pythona, Nemesis Enforcer and the Dreadnoks attack and thanks to them knowing about the base security, get in easily.

Only Gung-Ho, Alpine and Bazooka are inside the prison complex and are no match for Nemesis Enforcer's super strength. They do set off an alarm though as Nemesis Enforcer frees Serpentor from his cell. They all then re-group and blast their way out of the Joe's base to escape before the Joes can send anyone after them.

Falcon and Jinx head over to the prison complex, but the action is over and Serpentor has gone. An angry Hawk grabs Falcon and tells him that thanks to him not carrying out his duties, three men have been injured and their main enemy has escaped. Falcon is to face a court marshal and is consigned to his quarters until further notice.

Meanwhile Serpentor is taken back to the Himalayas and enters an underground base where he reaches and thanks a creature for freeing him from the Joes. The creature is Golobulus, who is the creator of Serpentor and rules Cobra-La. Dr. Mindbender says that he was the one that created Serpentor, but it was actually Golobulus behind the scenes all along.

Falcon is at his prelim hearing but things don't go well as the court say that his career has been nothing but a messy series of insubordination and that this time he's gone to far. His sentence is going to be death but Duke steps up at the last second and asks the court to forgive Falcon as he is his half-brother. The court decide to think it over and Duke and Falcon go outside to await their decision. Falcon is mad at Duke for trying to help him as he doesn't want his assistance.

Falcon goes back into the courtroom where he is told that he will be spared of the death penalty but he will be taught how to become a Joe if it's the last thing he ever does and is told he is going to be sent to the "slaughter house".

Back at Cobra-La another trial is taking place, this time it's Cobra Commander being the one judged for his failings over the past few years as leader of Cobra before Serpentor was put in command. Golobulus explains that Cobra Commander has done a great wrong and that it must be corrected, but first, he decides to show the Dreadnoks what he and Cobra-La is exactly.

40,000 years a go, Cobra-La was the dominant force on Earth, but the ice-age happened and their civilization was under threat with the possibility of it being wiped out entirely. Golobulus got together all of the survivors and they went underground, but as they hid away primitive humans appeared on the Earth and they soon evolved into what they are today, which Golobulus cannot stand. During their time underground a scientist came to Golobulus' attention.

The scientist was horribly disfigured in an accident, but he became Golobulus' choice to create an army and use it to take back the Earth from the humans. But Cobra Commander failed every time he tried because of G.I. Joe.

Golobulus then reveals his plan in taking over the Earth, and shows the Cobra force his spore invested pods. These pods will blast off into space in a few hours time and when they reach their destination, will explode and release the spores down all over the Earth. When they reach Earth humans will be turned into primitive beasts and it will be an easy task for Cobra-La to reclaim the Earth. Only those sheltering in Cobra-La will survive the attack. But the pods won't ripen in freezing space without energy, and that's why they need to get the B.E.T.

Cobra Commander then chips in by saying that Golobulus' plan is stupid as they don't have any idea where the B.E.T. is, and in retaliation for his rudeness Golobulus doesn't bother giving him a proper trail and just tells him that he's guilty. His punishment is to have a small amount of spores blown all over his body which start to mutate him, and Nemesis Enforcer takes him to the cell with the captured Joes as an example of what's going to happen to them.

With Falcon sentenced Wild Bill and Lift-Ticket fly him out via helicopter. They tell him to put his parachute on but Falcon doesn't understand why he needs to as they're out in the middle of nowhere, but Lift-Ticket then boots him out of the helicopter and he just lands without getting killed.

Falcon isn't alone for long though as three men approach him and start to beat him up, and Falcon notices that one of them seems to have a Cobra uniform on him. A voice from behind stops the men from killing Falcon, it's Sgt. Slaughter, who tells Falcon that he's been expecting him.

Slaughter is a special drill instructor for the Joes and introduces Falcon to the renegades - Red Dog, an ex-football player who got banned from the game for unnecessary roughness, Taurus, a circus acrobat who isn't the sharpest tool in the box and Mercer, an ex-Cobra Viper who's switched sides. Slaughter then tells Falcon to meet them at the Slaughter House for breakfast, but he's got to run there.

Back at Cobra-La, the captured Joes hear a lot of screaming and see that Cobra Commander is being bought towards their cell, but he seems to be inhuman and horribly mutated. Roadblock tells everyone to forget about him and concentrate on their plan: as soon as the guards open up the doors to throw Cobra Commander in, they're out of there. Which is exactly what they do.

Cobra Commander is left outside the cell as the Joes batter their way though Cobra-La's forces, but as Roadblock deals with two Cobra-La troops Cobra Commander tells him that the way they are going is a trap and that they'll all be re-captured if they do down there.

Roadblock's team run towards the exit but are all tangled by tentacles which tie them to trees. Cobra Commander tells Roadblock that he can't save his friends for now but he can still reach another exit and fight again. Roadblock agrees to take Cobra Commander with him and the two start their escape when Nemesis Enforcer appears and blinds Roadblock with a small sample of the spores.

Roadblock still manages to knock Nemesis Enforcer out of the way and they jump off into a river to get out of Cobra-La. Nemesis Enforcer goes to look for them but can't find them anywhere and presumes that they drowned. Later on Cobra-La moves out to go and find the B.E.T. and watch as the spore pods start to blast off into space.

Both Roadblock and Cobra Commander are still alive are safely make it out of the river's current. Roadblock still can't see but finds Cobra Commander's face plate in the water as it's fallen off, revealing the horribly mutated face of the old Cobra leader. Roadblock hears the spore pods launching and Cobra Commander tells him that it is the beginning of the end of human civilization unless they warn G.I. Joe in time.

"Cobra-La" was originally just a placeholder the writers created for the new faction until they thought up something better, but Hasbro liked it so much that they asked the writers not to change it.

Nemesis Enforcer throws spores all over Roadblock's face but oddly only his eyes are effected by them.
