Final Fight
The new mayor of Metro City is disrupting the operations of the Mad Gear gang. Belger, leader of the Mad Gears, has his men kidnap Jessica, the mayor's daughter. When Jessica's boyfriend Cody finds out, he wants to rescue her, but due to him being known in Metro City he can't. So instead, Ryu and Ken go in undercover and get into the gang to try and rescue her instead.

Belger isn't very happy. He's not happy because the mayor of Metro City, Mike Haggar, is stopping his gang from operating. So he decides that it's time to remind Haggar who really controls the city, and orders Rolento to execute "plan Jessica".

Meanwhile Jessica is dining alone at one of the better restaurants of Metro City, but almost as soon as she sits down at a table, Damnd throws in a smoke bomb to trick everyone into thinking that there is a fire. The waiter suggests using the elevator but Jessica says it's too dangerous, and that they should get up to the roof. Everyone does, only to find Rolento waiting up there. He and an El Gado kidnap her and fly her out in a helicopter.

Meanwhile, in some kind of warehouse, a fight is going on between Guy and some
Incredible Hulk rip-off. Ryu and Ken just happen to be watching as Guy easily defeats his opponent.
Guy gets a phone call from Cody explaining that Jessica has been kidnapped. Ken wants to fight Guy, but Guy explains that he has to go and help Cody. Ryu says that him and Ken will help out too. The three go to the top of the restaurant where an angered Cody is taking his wrath out on a cop, but he soon turns his attention to Ken instead. Guy gets him to calm down and they talk about how they are going to get Jessica back.

Haggar says that he can't do anything as they have his daughter. So a plan is devised: Ryu and Ken will somehow become members of the Mad Gear gang, and then find and rescue Jessica from their HQ. Cody bursts in followed by Guy asking what they are going to do, and is disgusted that he can't do anything due to the fact that the Mad Gears know who he is due to him living in Metro City. Ryu and Ken set off to find some Mad Gear members.

Boarding a subway train, Ryu and Ken (in disguise) find Damnd and an Andore attempting to steal money off everyone on board. A hadoken knocks Damnd away, and Ryu says that if they beat Mad Gear members, they get to join. Damnd sets Andore on Ken and he himself tries to attack Ryu, but is kicked away. Andore fairs no better and is also defeated.
Ryu and Ken get taken to Rolento, who says that although they managed to defeat two Mad Gear members, it only earns them the chance to take on the final test: fight and defeat Sodom. Sodom puts up a decent fight but Ryu and Ken eventually manage to finish him off by kneeing him in the chest. With Sodom defeated, Rolento can't believe it but eventually allows Ryu and Ken into the gang.
Meanwhile, Haggar sees a signal, letting him know that Ryu and Ken have managed to get into the Mad Gear gang. Upon hearing this, Cody decides that he must save Jessica for some reason, and rushes out. Haggar tells Guy to follow him, as Cody gets onto a bike and races away. Guy gets another bike and follows after him. Meanwhile, a fire has started where Rolento, Ryu and Ken are, and they get into a van and drive off, as they have a job to do for Belger. Cody sees the van and follows it.
Meanwhile Rolento and the other Mad Gears are stealing diamonds. Ken asks why there are no police trying to stop them, but Rolento says that Belger has taken care of this. Ken wants to meet the boss, Rolento says that Belger always meets the new guys, and takes Ryu and Ken to him. Belger is now sat in his armoured chair, and Ryu and Ken notice that Jessica is in the room.
Meanwhile, Cody and Guy spy Ryu, Ken, Jessica and Belger. Cody instantly decides to storm the building, but Guy says they should have some kind of plan before attacking. Cody ignores him and tries to do a flying kick on Rolento, who is guarding the front entrance, but he vanishes. Rolento uses his speed to run circles round Cody and Guy.
Rolento dashes in and manages to knock both Cody and Guy away. Rolento is now fed up with them both and decides to finish them off permanently by using grenades. Cody and Guy run back but get caught in the blasts and get thrown upward.
As Rolento keeps throwing grenades, Guy manages to pick some up and throw them back at Rolento, who isn't quick enough to move out of the way as they explode near him. Rubble falls down and hits him, trapping him and knocking him out.
Cody and Guy run up the stairs of the building, and again Guy says that they should make a plan before attacking, but Cody rushes on. They both destroy part of the roof above Belger and drop in. Belger tries to shoot them with his lasers, but Cody manages to kick Belger, making him spin out of control firing lasers everywhere, destroying a window. Jessica is untied, but Belger recovers and summons El Gados to attack. Ryu and Ken take on the El Gados whilst Cody and Guy attack Belger.
The El Gados try to take on Ryu and Ken, but are no match for them and are all soon defeated. Meanwhile, Belger's lasers and the speed of his chair are making him very difficult to hit, and he eventually manages to separate Cody, Guy and Jessica.
Belger manages to
grab Jessica and says that he'll kill her if they get any closer. As usual, Cody ignores rational thought and just foes a flying kick. Jessica manages to free herself as Cody hits Belger, sending him backward, toward the broken window.
Haggar arrives to see his daughter safe. However, Belger also sees him enter the room, and fires off one last rocket at him and his daughter. Guy manages to deflect the missile with a kick, sending it out of their way and exploding on a wall.
By firing the rocket, Belger's chair moves backwards slightly...and he falls out the window. However, whilst the chair doesn't survive, Belger does thanks to a pole on the side of the building.
And with Belger out of the way, Jessica and Cody and re-united, although Ken is slightly upset that Jessica went to Cody instead of him, but he eventually accepts it, saying "As long as somebody gets the girl!". Going out on a joke and all that, ho-hum.
Final Fight, for those of you not in
the know, is another series by Capcom, the first game was released in 1989 (the story for this episode is loosely based on the first
Final Fight game).
In the game, Belger actually dies when he falls out of a window.
Also in the game, Belger's chair doesn't have any weapons, and Belger is only in the chair for a few seconds. He attacks with a crossbow instead.
The Andore in this episode has blonde hair, in the Final Fight games they have brown.
In the games, Sodom wears socks and always carries either swords or jittes, but he's unarmed in this episode.
Cody wears a dog-tag in this episode, which he doesn't have in the game.
Everyone pronounces Rolento's name wrong in this episode. You don't actually say the "o" at the end, you just say "Rolent".

There is a really weird part at the start of this episode, in the restaurant scene. For no reason at all, there's a part where some random guy gets hooked and taken away. You never see who it is who takes him, what they do with him, nothing. I have no idea what it's doing there.
