Second to None

Ryu and Ken mess up an operation and allow some drug lords to escape. Later on Ken and Ryu get into a fight in which Ken is hospitalized. Meanwhile, in Japan, Sagat and his troops break into a dojo, where Sakura and some others are training. Sakura escapes and travels to America, meeting up with Ryu. Eventually she, Ryu and Guile travel back to Japan to rescue Sakura's friends, but Sagat has other plans.

Ryu and Ken are at a dock taking on a bunch of bad guys. They are all easily defeated, but one gets back up and uses a crane to release a crate over Ryu, which falls on top of him. Ken rushes in and punches the last bad guy, who crashes into part of the dock structure, causing Ryu to fall into the sea below him.

Ken jumps down after him and swims down to the bottom of the sea. He grabs Ryu and swims back up to the top, and they are both just in time to see the drug lords make a get away in a speedboat.

Meanwhile, in Japan, Sakura is sparring with two other martial artists, both of which she quickly defeats. Her sensei tells her that she must not be so focused on the danger in front that she forgets the danger behind, which is pretty obvious. He then states about how they must follow Ryu's example to overthrow their repressor, Sagat.

And just at that moment, Sagat bursts in with some cronies and says that no-one has ever defeated him (blatant lies) and that no-one ever will (more lies). The guards he brings with him move in to arrest them all, but Sakura quickly takes two of them out.

Sagat takes out sensei, but not before the latter orders Sakura to go to America and find Ryu, who he believes is the only one that can help them now. She runs off as Sagat orders his men to torch the dojo to the ground, as he wants no trace of Ryu to be around anywhere.

Back in America Escher and Guile give Ryu and Ken a roasting for messing up the mission. They were told not to move in on them but did anyway. Ken says that they did this because the smugglers were about to move out, and then blames Ryu in the fact that they got away due to him having to save him. Ryu argues that he wouldn't have had to do that if he was watching what he was doing in the first place, but then Guile tells them to leave.

Outside, Ryu says that Ken's lack of discipline means he will never truly be the best fighter in the world. They throw a few small jabs at each other, then Ken sweeps Ryu and tells him to keep up. A chase starts, where the two jump over a hot dog cart and Ken slides under a crate, but eventually Ryu jumps in front of him.

Ken leaps over the fence and Ryu follows him, both landing into a fountain. They start to fight again, and Ken looks like he is going to win, but Ryu uses his Shinku Tatsu Maki Sen Pu Kyaku (lets just say Super Hurricane Kick) which sucks Ken in and knocks him away. Ken tries to get up but can't and complains that he feels really sick all of a sudden.

Ken gets taken to a hospital where it's revealed that the water he drank had germs in it that took him down... this may be referring to a previous episode, or the start of this episode, I don't really know. Guile tells Ryu to go home. As he does, he crosses a bridge and four thugs arrived telling him that he either pays them to cross or gets beaten up. They say he may be a good fighter but the odds are four to one. Sakura suddenly shows up and the fight begins.

It's not much of a fight at all though. Ryu simply runs up to each thug and does one hit on them each to knock them off. The last thug is throw by Sakura off the bridge. Later on in a restaurant, Sakura explains she hid herself in a jet heading to New York and searched for Ryu. She then goes on to explain that her people think that Ryu is the strongest warrior in the world, and then a flashback scene starts.

It shows when Ryu defeated Sagat's warriors, then took on Sagat himself and defeated him with a dragon punch, which scarred Sagat for life. Sagat ordered his men to capture Ryu, but the crowd watching, which included Sakura and her sensei, rushed out and attacked the guards whilst Ryu made his escape, much to the disgust of Sagat.

After the flash back it returns to present day, and Ryu and Sakura go to Escher for help. They decide to go to Shadowloo to save Sakura's friends, but cannot take a team. Guile says that it looks like that it's just him and Ryu going, but Sakura wants to go. Guile says that it is to dangerous for her, so she grabs and throws him to the floor, stating that she knows her way around. Guile gives in and lets her go with them.

Using the jet to fly in, a couple of heat sneaking missiles are launched at the jet but Guile releases some missiles which blow them up. They land the plane and cover it up, and start to run through the streets, but a helicopter starts to follow them. A net is dropped which lands on Ryu, and then he is taken away before Guile and Sakura can do anything.

Ryu is taken to Sagat, who reveals his master plan: the original match between Ryu and Sagat will be recreated, and show live on TV, but this time, Sagat will win to prove that he is the strongest. Back in America Ken has a visit from Escher, and Ken is angry that Ryu went on a mission without him. Ken tries to get up but is still not well enough to do so. Back in Shadowloo Ryu defeats Sagat's guards just like before.

Sagat then steps into the ring and says that he will defeat Ryu. He launches a couple of Tiger Shots off which Ryu manages to dodge, but Sagat then starts to kick him and send Ryu crashing into the ground. Believing he is victorious, Sagat claims that it is time for a new legend to begin.

Inside Sagat's base, the guards are watching Sagat beat Ryu on a TV. After sneaking inside, Guile decides now is the perfect time to attack. They both use their projectiles to take out two of the guards, then beat up the others around the jail cells.

Guile takes the cell keys from a knock out guard and opens up the cell with Sakura's friends inside. Her sensei tells them that Ryu is in danger and is being forced to fight Sagat again. They watch on the TV the guards were watching earlier as Sagat tries to make Ryu say that Sagat is the best warrior in the world.

Ryu breaks free of Sagat's grasp and does a dragon punch on him to knock him back. Sagat says that the dragon punch will not be enough to defeat him, so Ryu replies by charging up a fireball which blasts Sagat out of the ring.

With Sagat defeated Ryu shouts that Shadowloo's operation is unjust. Guile appears in the plane and picks up Ryu, and then they head back to Sakura's dojo.

Guile explains that one day the Street Fighters will be back to push out Shadowloo entirely. Sakura says she will help them when the time comes, and asks if Ryu will be okay. Guile states that he simply needs rest. Back in the hospital, Ryu now has a bed next to Ken, and Ken starts to brag that Ryu should have waited to bring the world's greatest warrior with him. Ryu says only time will tell if Ken is the greatest, but then Ryu says he is definitely the world's best pillow fighter and a pillow fight ensues. Queers.

Those bridge punks sure are stupid. Ryu simply runs up to each of them and knocks them over the bridge and into the river, they don't put up any kind of fight. Yet they seemed to think that they stood a chance against Ryu before. I don't think Ryu even needed Sakura's help to defeat them.

Before the flash back, Sakura says that Ryu was no older than her when he defeated Sagat. In the flash back though, Ryu is shown to be exactly the same age as he is now, and when Sakura is shown, she is also the same age as she was before the flash back.

Love the way they cover the plane up ... even if it is in the middle of the street where anyone could see it.
