Strange Bedfellows

Zangief and some Shadowloo thugs are getting ready to store a load of new weapon shipments, but suddenly someone kicks down a door. After using a fireball to blow up some thugs...

...then the attacker then does another fireball to knock out Zangief. He then drops a file with the Street Fighter logo on it onto Zangief, and then leaves.

The next day, Bison arrives on the scene and is very very angry. He believe that it's Guile, and wants to take him out once and for all. Meanwhile Escher briefs Guile about how many of their bases have been hit, and that evidence leads to Shadowloo being the ones who did it.

The unknown attacker meanwhile is seen running away from a power plant, which suddenly explodes. Laughing at his work, he then quickly vanishes into thin air.

After seeing this attack, Sagat challenges Bison to make his security better. Bison isn't impressed though and thinks Sagat wants to overthrow him, but before they can fight each other there is another explosion, this time all of the Shadowloo boats are blown up.

Another Street Fighter base is destroyed, and this time Guile's bitch Lucinda is injured. Chun-Li takes her to a helicopter, which then flies off. Once Guile learns of this he starts to study a microchip he found, whilst Chun-Li and Blanka leave. Guile then finds some co-ordinates on the chip and sets out in a helicopter to an island.

As soon as he sets foot on the island though, Bison appears and blasts Guile into a cliff. They both start to fight, and Guile lunges at Bison, but Bison flies away. Guile falls off the edge and starts to drop into a lava pit.

Guile manages to grab hold of some of the ledge and then does this weird thing to get back up, and kicks Bison in the chest. They start to fight again, but then then the unknown attacker appears, and it's actually Akuma.

Akuma says that he bought the two here to fight each other, and then the winner will get to fight him, and then he will take their chi. Back at the Shadowloo base, Sagat now thinks that he is the boss, much to the disgust of Zangief. Zangief challenges Sagat, but before they can fight the fan in the room explodes for no reason at all.

Back on the island, Bison is fed up with Akuma, and decides to leave, but Akuma destroys his helicopter. Akuma then does a fireball to destroy the ground Guile and Bison are standing on, and they drop down. Guile manages to avoid landing in the lava, and Bison tries to fly out but is hit by rocks and starts to fall.

Guile saves him though, and tells Bison that "letting people die wasn't high on my list of instinctive responses" and that besides, he needs him to take on Akuma. Guile then decides on an awesome plan of action.

In the meantime, Chun-Li and Blanka have found the disc Guile was using to store all his data on and now know where Guile went, so they set out to the island via helicopter. Sagat and Zangief have already taken off in a jet to the island. Back on the island, Guile and Bison are finding it difficult to co-operate with each other, and then Akuma appears again.

Guile throws a Sonic Boom at Akuma, but it goes straight through him. The ground Guile is standing on falls away and he slides down. It takes Bison a few seconds to bother to save him, but he eventually does and flies Guile out of the lava pit. Bison states that it took him a few seconds to react because he isn't used to being good, and he had to weigh up the pros and cons of saving Guile first.

They eventually find Akuma's cave. Bison blasts the rocks out of the way, and Guile Sonic Booms the door down. They both enter, and Akuma appears again, and sounds completely different than he did before.

Chun-Li and Blanka land on the island, and a volcano explodes nearby. Back in the cave Akuma easily deals with Bison and Guile, and every time they try to attack him, he just teleports out of the way.

After throwing Guile into Bison, the two realise that if he keeps teleporting, they will never be able to hit him. Guile tells Bison to use his powers to trap Akuma in his magnetic field.

Bison powers up his magnetic field and hits Akuma with it, surprising him. Guile then throws a Sonic Boom which sends Akuma flying into a wall, and with such force the wall breaks and Akuma flies out.

He's not defeated though and tells Guile that he came close to being defeated, but next time it will not be so easy, and vanishes. Chun-Li and Blanka arrive on the scene, but then so do Zangief and Sagat.

They start to take pot shots at Guile, Blanka and Chun-Li as Bison gets into the helicopter. Surprisingly though, Bison stops them from firing, pulls a downright goofy expression, then flies away. The other three then get into their helicopter and fly away just as another volcano explodes.

OH YES. It's the last episode of the first season, and what better way of ending it off then having a HOT SEX SCENE between Guile and Lucinda. Well, all they do is look at each other and kiss, but you can just guess what they get up to as the credits roll.

Akuma's first appearance in the show. He later appears in the episode "The World's Greatest Warrior"

Why oh why does Akuma's voice change? For the most part, it's voiced by David Kaye (who also did the voice for him in the episode noted above), but as soon as he starts talking when Guile and Bison enter the cave, it completely changes.

The island Akuma is on is a reference to the island he has in Street Fighter Alpha 2, and it is sunk in Ryu's ending for that game.

Despite the fact that Sagat and Zangief are seen going to the island in a jet, they arrive in a helicopter.
