My Friend Sixshot!
| |
The Decepticons are heading back to Earth after managing to gain some time over the Autobots. But things take a turn for the worst for them when they approach an asteroid belt. Sixshot suggests going around the asteroids but Zarak says that that would take up far too much time and instead heads straight into the belt.
The Autobots aren't actually as far away as the Decepticons think and soon enough, they also see the asteroid belt. Fortress says that they will be better off taking the longer route round and they decide to fly around the asteroids.
Zarak's idea of going through the asteroid belt isn't going at all well, with Scorponok being hit a lot and causing most of the Decepticons to fall down. Sixshot tells Zarak that this would never have happened if they'd done things his way, and this angers Zarak who tells Sixshot that he's had enough of him.

Back with the Autobots Wheelie takes Daniel to one of the ship's laser cannons as Daniel said sometime earlier that he wanted to "feel like a warrior" so showing him a completely boring thing like a laser cannon will obviously make him "feel like a warrior". Wheelie opens the door and shoves Daniel inside, saying he'll stay outside to make sure the other Autobots don't spot them, as they're aren't actually meant to be there. And wouldn't you know it? Highbrow detects that there is a problem with said laser cannon, but the Autobots then spot Scorponok: the Decepticons have pulled out of the asteroid field.
Fortress tells everyone to prepare for the battle, and this means that the entire ship enters lock-down status -as in all of the doors shut, including the ones to the laser cannon rooms. Wheelie tries to get the door open but it won't budge, meaning Daniel is trapped on the other side. The Autobots and Decepticons exchange fire...
...and lasers hit the laser cannon that Daniel is in. Zarak then sends Sixshot out, telling him that he is the only one capable of attacking Fortress out of all of the other Decepticons, and he reluctantly goes. But before he can do any real damage, two strange tornadoes made out of asteroids come out of nowhere.
Sixshot transform back to his robot mode but is hit by an asteroid and is sent spiraling out of control, being sucked into one of the tornadoes. Meanwhile the sheer amount of asteroids start to hit Fortress' ship, including the already damaged laser cannon. Highbrow says that it's in danger of exploding, so Fortress orders for it to be detached from the ship, completely oblivious that Daniel is inside it. The detached laser cannon is also sucked into the asteroid tornado.
The Decepticons move out of the tornado they were stuck in, and Zarak says that they'll head straight to Earth. Weirdwolf asks if they should go and look for Sixshot, but Zarak tells him that he wanted to get rid of Sixshot, and that their target is Earth.
The Autobots also move out of the tornado they were in and are about to continue following Scorponok, but Wheelie then runs in and explains that Daniel was in one of the laser cannon rooms...the one that got detached from the ship! Not wanting to leave him behind, Fortress says they must go and rescue him at once. The Autobot Targetmasters say that they'll go keep track of the Decepticons whilst the rescue operation takes place, and fly after them.
The tornado sucks both Sixshot and the laser cannon down to planet Daira, which the narrator reveals is very similar to Earth. Sixshot crash lands and gets up, and then sees the large laser cannon nearby. He runs over to it and rips a panel off it's side to find...
...Daniel, who survived the crash landing as well. Sixshot knows who he is and tells Daniel not to be afraid of him as he doesn't carry guns to shoot children, but Daniel says that Sixshot is still a Decepticon and refuses to believe that he isn't going to hurt him. Sixshot says that if that's what he wants to think, then fine, and he walks off.
Daniel watches Sixshot walk off, and then turns around to see what appears to be a large rock-man monster about to grab him! Sixshot destroys it though and runs back to Daniel, telling him that the presence of rock-men means they must be on the fabled planet Daira. Daniel then notices a rainbow, but Sixshot says that it is actually a barrier and they cannot get off the planet with it activated.
Meanwhile the Autobots are still searching for Daniel, and Highbrow figures out where he must be. He shows the others an animation of the two tornadoes they encountered earlier, and that the two of them created a third one. Daniel was sucked into the third one, so the Autobots turn their ship around and head back towards it.
Sixshot and Daniel are left with little hope of rescue since Daniel thinks the Autobots don't know where he is and the Decepticons don't care about Sixshot anymore. Daniel then tells Sixshot that he seems different, as he bothered to save Daniel's life when he could have just left him to die, although Sixshot tells Daniel not to overestimate him. Sixshot then suddenly turns around saying that the enemy is nearby...
...and then quite a few of the rock-men burrow out of the ground, but Sixshot runs around blasting them all and even Daniel manages to bag one with his little laser blaster. Sixshot says that they need to find a way to get past the barrier, and fast.
The Autobots arrive at the tornado and the only choice they have is to fly directly through it to see where it leads to. As they begin to move inwards, Wheelie blurts out a question he's been thinking about: what if they find Daniel, and he's dead? What are they going to tell Spike and Carly
back on Earth? Fortress tells him to calm down as he's sure Daniel is okay.
Meanwhile Sixshot and Daniel are looking for a way past the barrier and end up seeing a large crater where several rock-men take pieces of debris and throw it onto an energy fire. Sixshot explains that for the rock-men to survive, they take the pieces of meteorites and wrecked spaceships and use them to make energy. They are then attacked by more rock-men but Sixshot destroys them.
Sixshot and Daniel move in closer, and Sixshot says that in order to escape, they may have to destroy the planet itself. Daniel wonders why Fortress and the other Autobots haven't come to save him yet but Sixshot says they won't come and that the only way off the planet is with him. Daniel tells him that Fortress will come, and then Sixshot suddenly says how strange it is that a Decepticon and an Autobot are working together and that for some strange reason, he feels that Daniel is like an old friend. They then both notice that the rock-men they were watching have surrounded them. Daniel takes cover whilst Sixshot starts taking them all on.
Disaster strikes when a rock-man manages to grab Daniel and then runs towards the energy fire to throw him in, but before he can Sixshot kicks him in the back and saves Daniel. The rock-man isn't so lucky though as he is destroyed when he falls into the fire and explodes.
The Autobots are still making their way through the asteroid tornado but at the rate they are going the ship is in danger of being torn apart, so Fortress tells Chromedome to use the freezing beam, which freezes all the gas and rock in the tornado. The ship then batters through a wall of ice and they finally arrive at planet Daira.
Sixshot and Daniel see that several rock-men pull themselves together and then all run towards and leap into the energy fire, resulting in them
creating a huge rock-man.
Sixshot transforms and Daniel gets on top of him, and the two attack the large rock-man but he swats them down. Sixshot tells Daniel to go and hide whilst he takes on the new enemy be creating several shadows of himself in his different transformation modes, but he can't seem to do any damage to the rock-man.
The rock-man smashes Sixshot and is about to finish him off when Daniel runs on and shoots it in the head with his blaster, making it stumble. Identifying his weak point, Sixshot transforms into his wolf mode and smashes straight though the rock-monster's head, which makes the entire monster crumble into dust. Sixshot puts Daniel on his shoulder and they then see...
...the Autobots. Fortress' ship has enough power to simply ram right through the barrier, destroying it completely. The Headmasters and Wheelie jump out telling Sixshot to release Daniel, but Daniel explains that Sixshot saved his life and begs them not to fight.
Sixshot then transforms into his space fighter mode and says goodbye to Daniel, and then blasts off. Later on the Autobots head back to Earth and Daniel says that if it wasn't for the Autobot/Decepticon war they could be friends with Sixshot, and then questions why everyone can't get along. Pointblank then contacts Fortress and tells him that Scorponok is definitely heading to Earth, so the Autobots head there as fast as they can.
In the English dub for this episode, Daniel sometimes calls Sixshot "Uncle Sixshot". Um
