Showdown! The Fortress vs. The Victory Unification

As the meteors start to be sent towards the Earth from the fortress again, Shuttle base is in the middle of a wrecked city and the Autobots who aren't damaged are trying to contact Victory Saber but cannot get through to him. They have no idea if he's even alive or not but have no other option that to keep trying to get a message through.
 

Inside the base the Dinoforce have taken residence and are pleased to see that Goryu is going to be OK. He tells Kakuryu to find any of the Autobots as he needs to speak to them about something. But he may not get the chance as another meteor is heading straight towards the Shuttle base, and there is no time for them to move out of it's way. So instead, the Multiforce head out and transform into Landcross who shoots at it.
 

The meteor explodes before impact but the explosion also engulfs Landcross and puts all of the Multiforce out of action. Meanwhile Goryu tells Jan that since Deszaras abandoned them, they will abandon him now, and gives him a disk. But with all of the other powerful Autobots wounded and now the Multiforce are injured, Jan realises only he can go on a final mission.
 

Holi is busy taking medical supplies around the base to help Pipo, but he then sees the Illumina II and wonders where Jan is going in it. Moments later, Jan blasts off in Galaxy Shuttle and heads into outer space, but Holi has also come along for the ride. Jan tells him tat Goryu has given him this disc which has data on how to turn off the power source of Deszaras' fortress.
 

At the fortress, Deszaras looks at the Earth and finds it hard to believe that none of the previous Decepticons leaders eve managed to conquer this one planet. But this is about to change as he is going to destroy it and then rule the entire universe, and begins to transform the fortress into it's destroyer mode. Victory Saber wakes up only to see the gigantic fortress' cannon right in front of him.
 

The cannon is set up and Deszaras locks onto the target, planning to blow away the world with just one shot. They then see Victory Saber coming towards them and he starts to fire at the fortress, although his lasers cannot even dent it. Deszaras sends out Liokaiser to fight him (since he did so well last time, I take it) but not kill him as he wants his enemy to see the destruction of the planet he cares about so much.
 

As the two of them are fighting, Galaxy Shuttle arrives at the fortress, and Jan and Holi are glad to see that Victory Saber is still alive. They depart from Galaxy Shuttle and head towards the fortress, saying to Victory Saber that they are going to turn off the power. Victory Saber separates so Star Saber can follow them as Victory Leo deals with Liokaiser. Meanwhile Jan and Holi get inside the fortress but Holi is blasted out with lasers, but Jan isn't targeted by them and continues on.
 

Deszaras stands ready to fire the cannon, which is drawing in energy and in two minutes, he'll be able to fire. Jan reaches the power core thanks to the disk Goryu gave him, but it is far too big for him to destroy it unless he sends the Illumina II on a kamikaze run. He gets out of his mocha and rigs it to fly straight towards the core and crash into it, hopefully causing a big enough explosion to destroy the whole thing and de-power the fortress.
 

Outside the fortress Liokaiser and Victory Leo are still fighting as the main cannon continues to charge up. Victory Leo transforms and blasts his enemy with fire-breath, sending him back straight towards the cannon...
 

...which he crashes into and is immediately sucked dry of all his energy and is then thrown back out into space crying for help as he can't move, but he soon vanishes as Deszaras calls him an idiot, explaining that if you get too close to the cannon when it is charging then you lose all of your energy and are then flung out. But he thinks this doesn't matter as he'll still be able to destroy the Earth.
 

With just ten seconds to go, Deszaras puts his finger on the trigger, but at the same time Jan lets the Illumina II go and is zooms off straight towards the core and explodes. Soon afterwards the entire core goes off which knocks Jan back and the entire fortress loses it's power, turning off the main cannon and all of the auto-turrets, letting Star Saber go inside to look for Jan. But they just miss each other.

Instead of finding Jan, Star Saber is greeted by a pissed off Deszaras who is outraged that he's even entered his fortress. The two enter one of the best fights in the history of Transformers animation, and after destroying each others guns they use their swords instead. They also have lots of banter as they fight, and Deszaras says something hilarious.
 

The fight enters another area of the fortress, and when Deszaras lunges at him, Star Saber uses his head cannons to shoot out one of his opponent's eyes. Star Saber then leaps up and goes for the final strike...
 

...as does Deszaras. The two Transformers clash one last time but only one of them actually hit their opponent, and for a few seconds neither of them move at all until...
 

...Deszaras sees what Star Saber has done. With one of his eyes not working any more his depth perception was hampered and his opponent used this to his advantage, breaking his sword and stabbing him in the chest with one piece. Deszaras grabs the piece and removes it from his body, but then falls back down to the ground, seemingly dead.
 

With no action happening outside and no signs of Jan, Victory Leo and Holi go inside the fortress and Jan wakes up to see them both standing in front of him. They tell him that everything is OK and that the fortress has just stopped moving, but are concerned when he tells them that he hasn't seen Star Saber anywhere. Victory Leo says he'll go and find him whilst they both go back to Galaxy Shuttle.
 

Jan and Holi just get outside the fortress when the exit they came out of closes, and soon every door in the base shuts and locks, leaving both Star Saber and Victory Leo trapped inside. Star Saber then sees a hologram of Deszaras, who is still alive and tells him of his final plan: he has set the fortress to ram into the Earth and destroy it, meaning that Star Saber will also be destroyed.
 

He then turns off the hologram and heads towards a door, saying that he will not die and will return and return again until he rules the universe and destroys all of the Autobots. And with that he opens the door and lets himself be sucked out into space...
 

...and soon, he is gone.
 

Star Saber tries to blast down a door but he can't do it, but is then contacted by Holi and Jan who say they are safe outside the fortress. With the fortress getting closer to the Earth by the second Star Saber says that he might have to self destruct to try and destroy it but Victory Leo then chips in saying no to be so hasty and crashes through a window to get to him.
 

The two of them transform and unite and start to fly all around the fortress shooting lasers and dropping bombs everywhere with destruction on a unimaginable scale. They then fly straight through part of the fortress to get back out into space...
 

...and then they transform into Victory Saber's robot mode and who concentrates his energy to power himself up and have a golden glow as he rushes straight back towards the fortress, and flies straight through it. The entire fortress then stops moving and finally...
 

...it is destroyed with a massive (but silent) explosion. Jan and Holi cannot see Victory Saber anywhere but later on they are taken back to Earth in Galaxy Shuttle where they find Illumina and all the rest of Jan's school friends.
 

As the two meet each other again Illumina thanks him for saving the entire world, although he says that they should also thank Star Saber too. He then goes on to say that he did this for her just as Shuttle base rolls up to meet them all. Star Saber then narrates saying that desiring to save the ones you love...that emotion will save the Earth. Erm, ok.

Jan then narrates what has happened to the characters now:


Blacker, Braver and Laster have become commanders of the Sector One force.


The Multiforce were assigned to the Vegas sector and have been made governors.


The Rescue team has gone back to Planet Micro and are fooling around, as usual.


Greatshot returned to being a mercenary, but hasn't been seen since the Silvart war, but Jan is sure that he is still alive.

 

The Dinoforce are still led by Goryu, but they now have their own construction business on Earth. Kakuryu meanwhile is very popular with children at a theme park.



Jan and Illumina are now in the next grade and are still in the same class.

 

And as for Star Saber, he is still alive and he continues to lead the Autobots.

When Jan blasts off in Galaxy Shuttle, he flicks a switch which should say "AUTO CLOSE" but close is spelt "CLUSE".

In the dub, Mekon actually calls his mecha "Irrumina II" at one point rather than "Meela II".

This episode does not have a preview at the start of it to show what's going to happen in it whilst nearly all of the others do.

In the dub, the Dinoforce are given the job of cleaning out garbage rather than being a construction unit.

Um, didn't Deszaras get a sword through the chest before and pull through just fine?
