Enter the New Supreme Commander, Dai Atlas!

The narrator explains that the war between the Autobots and Decepticons has reached a critical stage with the appearance of a new Decepticon leader. And the Decepticons are about to attack a planet known as Feminia. Feminia seems to be a beautiful and peaceful paradise, but in the next few minutes that will all change.

Several massive explosions then rock the world, and a young blue haired boy, Kain, and his pink space bunny pet thing with wings, Emusa, see the destruction from a far. All of planet Feminia seems to be on fire and suddenly three Decepticons fly over Kain and Emusa, sending them flying. These Decepticons send out bombs everywhere causing major damage to the land.

One of the Decepticons throws a spear into the ground which causes the whole piece of land to crack and then fall apart, and Kain is left dangling from a piece of rock when some engine noise is heard behind him and the Autobots are here, with Victory Saber and Galaxy Shuttle here to save the day. Victory Saber heads down to get Kain...

...whilst Holi and the Rescue team pack any survivors onto Galaxy Shuttle. They then get onto Galaxy Shuttle, who takes off and heads over to where Victory Saber is, and he puts Kain onboard. But before Victory Saber can get out of the crevice he is in, more explosions happen and he fails to get out in time, because...

...Feminia then explodes. Galaxy Shuttle has managed to get away in time with the Rescue team and all of the other survivors, but there is no sign of Victory Saber anyway. Kain and Emusa then stare out of the window and into space and then the intro starts.

After the intro, we are shown a part of space where eight beams of light speed towards a middle point. They are the Decepticons Overlord, Devastator, Trypticon, Menasor, King Poseidon, Predaking, Black Zarak and Abominus[1], and they crowd together to meet the one who resurrected them: Violen Jygar, a three headed being who is the new Decepticon Emperor of Destruction. With Victory Saber seemingly destroyed, Violen Jygar wants this area of space to build a new base for the Decepticons in and and his warriors out to steal the energy he needs.

The Autobots have taken Kain and Emusa to Planet Z, where it is explained to them by Moonradar that it is one of the biggest defense systems that can use the super energy, known as Energon-Z, and that it was built by the Powered Masters. Later on Emusa starts moaning about how boring it is on this planet as he wants to see flowers and plants and other such things, but the others don't really care about his feelings.

An alarm then goes off and the Micromasters gather inside to see that four Decepticons are heading straight towards them. And with the Powered Masters still out in space looking for Victory Saber, things do not look good. But decides to show their enemies the power of the Zone base anyway and has it transform into battle station mode, and it opens fire.

Needless to say, their firepower does not scare the Decepticons, and Menasor, Abominus, Overlord and Bruticus attack. The Micromaster Jet patrol team head out to shoot at the Decepticon attackers, but they cannot damage the large enemies, who start to unleash their arsenals at the base causing a lot of explosions. Overlord then moves in and cuts one tower in half.

This town contains what the Decepticons are after: energon-Z. Overlord takes it and then orders for all of the other Decepticons to withdraw, and they soon fly off out into space. Moonradar says that they are going to go after them and gets Kain, Emusa, the Super Car patrol team and Battle patrol team to go along and use the base's rocket to head into space. As they go out, he orders the Rescue team to stay behind and repair the base and the Jet patrol team to check over it.

The Autobots take off and chase after the Decepticons, but don't get very far as Black Zarak appears out of nowhere. The Autobots shoot at him, but their lasers do not do any damage and he paralyses their ship with what seems to be a null-ray type net attack. He then flies off to join the others as the Autobots are left helpless.

But the Jet patrol team then arrive having completed their work on the base and free their comrades from the net by shooting at it. Sunrunner is then sent out to track where the Decepticons are, but they have already re-grouped, and he finds with his radar sensors that their next plan is to send half of the group to planet Earth.

Back at the Zone base, Holi tells Pipo how he wishes that Victory Saber and the Powered Masters were here, and it's at that point that the Autobots return. The Powered Masters are Dai Atlas and Sonic Bomber, who have found Victory Saber and bought him back to Planet Zone. Dai Atlas tells Holi to start repairing the Autobot leader, and they take him inside the Zone base.

Inside the base, Dai Atlas explains that the Decepticon's goal on Earth is to get the Zodiac, a mysterious energy which has the power to create a universe! If they fuse it together with Energon-Z they will be able to make a new planet which they will use to terrorise the galaxy. Victory Saber then turns to them and nods, and they take that as the signal to go to Earth, and they soon transport and blast off.

But they are too late as the Decepticon group has already reached the planet and are tearing places apart in a search for the Zodiac, and no human resistance can stop them.

Elsewhere on the Earth, a boy named Akira is busy using a net to catch butterflies, like all boys do. But his fun is interrupted when Predaking lands right in front of him and is going to stomp him into the ground, but before he can the Autobot Micromasters arrive and save him.

He is taken inside the Autobot rocket, and meets Kain. The Autobots land and move out to combat against Predaking, but he's bought his friend Trypticon along and the pair start to advance. The Autobot Micromasters attempt so stop them from getting close to the rocket base, but once again they fail to stop the Decepticons.

But then Dai Atlas and Sonic Bomber arrive at the battle and get the two Decepticon's attention. After introducing themselves, they attack the pair, and Trypticon proves that he's still stupid when Sonic Bomber just rams right into him. But Devastator then jumps out of the ground and is told by Predaking to go and find the Zodiac, as it's meant to be somewhere around where they are.

So Devastator drills back underground to start searching, but Dai Atlas follows hi,. Dai Atlas continues heading down until he finds an underground cave, and as he moves along it he finds the Zodiac. But before he can take it, Devastator flies up out of another part of the cave and swipes the Zodiac and heads back to the other Decepticons.

Dai Atlas gives chase to him but a chain bursts out of a small pool of water and latches on to the Autobot, as King Poseidon rises. Devastator throws him the Zodiac and tells him to go back up top side to the others whilst he deals with things here. Devastator is going to drill a hole into Dai Atlas' back when the Autobot transforms and drags the Decepticon around with him, driving straight through a certain part of the cave...

...which fills with lava. Dai Atlas escapes but Devastator doesn't, and he is seemingly killed in the over-flow. Meanwhile King Poseidon leaps out of the water to join the others but comes under fire from Sonic Bomber, and throws the Zodiac toward Predaking and Trypticon. But because they are both bumbling idiots, they get in each others way and let Dai Atlas get it.

But Trypticon gets back up and the shoots both Dai Atlas and Sonic Bomber down, and all of the Decepticons move in for the kill when Dai Atlas decides to take a chance and raises the Zodiac above his head. Trypticon fires off another shot but instead of it killing the two Autobots, Dai Atlas calls upon the power of the Zodiac to protect them and start a process off...

...which releases the Zodiac energy and lets the Autobots use it, and they are granted new "Zone mode" transformations, which lets them both turn into small bases which have new weapons. The Decepticons are taken aback at first, but they they charge straight towards the two Autobots, who start to power up their new guns...

...which then fire, and the blasts vaporize Trypticon and King Poseidon, leaving only Predaking to watch as the two Autobots transform back to their robot modes and say how powerful they are now. Predaking is not impressed with the death of his two allies, and with no signs of Devastator anyway, he decides it's time to pull out.

But the Autobots follow him and he suffers a nasty death when Dai Atlas throws his boomerang type weapon, splitting him in half where we get to see that he seems to have an organic brain. We don't see it for long though as both sides of him explode.

With the Decepticons beaten for now, Akira reveals that he's heard about the Zodiac from his father, who happens to be a space physicist. The Autobots want to know more about Earth so Akira agrees to tell them about it as long as they tell him all about the Autobots, and they then all agree to head back to Planet Zone.

The Autobots all return to Planet Zone, and a large ceremony is being held. At the front, a still injured but functional Victory Saber is surrounded by Landcross, Road Caesar, Pretenders and the Godmasters as the main robots of honour step forward. Victory Saber appoints Dai Atlas to be the new Autobot leader until he is fully healed and shakes his hand.

As everyone starts to celebrate, the narrator takes over and explains that now he has been promoted, Dai Atlas has swore to protect space from the evil Decepticons and build a beautiful and peaceful paradise with the other Autobots. All of the other Autobots then start to chant Dai Atlas' name over and over again as the episode ends.

Holi has been given a different colour scheme, and now matches his toy - the parts coloured white for his appearances in Victory are now coloured black.

[1]Bruticus is missing from this scene for some reason, when he really should be there since this group under Violen Jygar's command is known as the "Nine Great Demon Generals"

Yes, Akira is a boy, and yes, I know it's hard to believe. And he and Akira get on along a little too well.
